history:

Featherkit was born in a relatively normal upbringing with his sister Mothkit in the WindClan camp. He was much more thoughtful than other kits, who just liked to play and sleep. Often times he would sit at the entrance of the nursery, observing camp life while creating scenarios in his head. Every once in awhile he'd hang around Mothkit, and while he did grow somewhat protective over her, he was found by himself most of the time.

As he reached the age of apprenticeship, he was renamed Featherpaw and assigned to be Rushingmoor's first apprentice. The two got along rather well, and Featherpaw trained hard to replicate the dedication and determination he saw his mentor carry himself with. He allowed himself to be molded into a warrior who held the warrior code to the highest degree, and his loyalty to his Clan ran first and foremost.

During his final assessment, he passed with flying colors, and the next day was named Featherlight for his shining aura that seemed to dance around him as an explementary warrior of WindClan. The first cat he went to was Rushingmoor, to thank the tom for teaching him everything he could.

In the first moon or two of warrior hood, when Featherlight was around 14 moons, he met another warrior in the Clan; Softpelt. He'd noticed her during training when they were both 'paws but had been too focused on becoming a warrior. Now, he started to want to spend all his time with her.

It was long after that the two became mates and basically spent every waking moment together. They slept near each other in the warriors den, sharing not only patrols and meals, but also a nest as well. Rarely were they seen separated, and Featherlight truly believed this was the cat he was meant to spend the rest of his life with.

That was until a vicious rumor spread in which Softpelt was also sneaking around with a rogue on the outskirts of WindClan. He confronted her about it, to which she eventually caved and admitted to. Furious, he broke off their relationship, though promised he wouldn't inform leadership of her torn loyalties.

From that moment on, Featherlight swore off love and set his focus on the well being of WindClan, ignoring any glances his way or any friendships that seemed to point towards romance.
