​Right towards the start of the Evil Era, Cricket was born in Russetswirl and Shellfeather's second to last litter. She had a somewhat rough upbringing, with a bit of dramatics occurring within her family dynamic. At the time, her aunt Thornfrost had just been appointed deputy, and her uncle was one of the most respected warriors in the Clan at the time.

She grew up with her siblings in the RiverClan nursery for just a short moon or two, before disappearing with her mother, who took her and her other littermates (save for Applethorn, then Applekit) away from RiverClan so they would be safe. Shortly after, Cricket got separated from them, and was on her own for a short two days before a friendly kitty-pet stumbled across her. They took her in and cared for her, and Cricket slowly let the hard to picture memories of a Clan she once called him fade away.

As she grew up in the twoleg house, Cricket began to have dreams every night of her old life, as a member of RiverClan. All she remembered was that other cats always called her Cricket, and that her dad was an important figure within the RiverClan camp.

Despite every fiber in her body, having gotten used to the kittypet lifestyle, she said a sorrowful goodbye to her kittypet friend, and some other friends she had made, and set off on a journey to find her old home.

After a long journey, she stumbled across her father and the RiverClan warrior Shalefur in the territory when she thought all hope was lost in locating the camp. They had a tearful reunion, but quickly made their way back to camp to announce her return. After spending a couple days with Geckoleaf in the medicine den, she had become fascinated with how the medicine cat worked and was chosen to be her apprentice, to be trained to be RiverClan's next medicine cat.

For the next few moons after that, her and Geckoleaf became inseperable. They formed a very close bond - similar to that of a mother and daughter - and did practically everything together.

​One day, while Cricketpaw was out searching for herbs, she ran into Hephaestus, a former RiverClan apprentice-turned-Syndicate-Guard who attacked her for his own quest to hurt RiverClan. She died in the territory that day, and now resides in StarClan.
